Microsoft is the publisher, but Atomic games is the developer. They develop on MacOS. That is presumably why they can release a MacOS version right away.

Note: A little history: Avalon Hill used to be the publisher for Atomic games, back 4 or 5 years ago (I have a copy of Stalingrad, one of their last games for Avalon Hill). They developed on the MacOS back then, and were well on the way to developing a computer version of Advanced Squad Leader when Avalon Hill pulled the plug.

Atomic finished development of the game, changed its name, and got a new publisher - Microsoft.

thanx Tom.I kinda figured it wasn't an intentional marketing scheme.

I get a few more "features" when I install it on my PC but the graphics look better on my MAC.
