Goodbye OS9, farewell & amen
Gone. Out the door. Good riddance. MS Word kept crashing, Final Draft needed an upgrade patch, the printer wouldn't print regardless of upgraded drivers, the Finder had a mind of its own flashing like a neon outside a strip joint meaning I had to force re-start, and so on, and so on.
Journeying to Mac's OS9 forum page, I discovered a truckload of unanswered complaints, to which I added mine.
Before I despatched it whence it came and reloaded 8.5. Sheer joy, sheer bliss. Even at a cost of $149.
Now, back to spending 99.7% of my life Civving. And, yes, I'm working to conquer that other .3%.
