    The game just doesn't seem to work right. Is it just me?

    The AI sends a diplomat to my city. I have 3 diplomats in the city. The AI diplomat moves onto my city. There ought to be a text message that tells me either that my diplomat has prevented an espionage attempt or that a tech was stolen or an improvement destroyed. Right?

    I have 2 warriors, an archer and a musketeer in my city. An AI knight attacks the city. The musketeer should defend, right? Instead, the archer defends and dies. I reload, try again. The only way to get the musketeer to defend is to move the archer out of the city. The knight is toast. This shouldn't happen should it? Am I nuts?

    Yeah, I've had that diplomat problem. Sometimes you get the advice that something's happened, sometimes you don't. I've never seen the logic. Must be a bug. Very disconcerting, isn't it? You don't know what they've done. Short of knowing what Techs everyone had before, and checking them all afterwards, there's no way of knowing.

    I've also often wondered what dictates which defender will cop the first assault. Sometimes I strike what you did, sometimes the more logical defender does the job. But from memory, this happened before MGE. I don't recall the above - the diplo thing - happening prior to MGE.

    In short, I don't know, and I get just as cheesed as you do.
