The "History of Civilization", The Game

A detailed "History of Civilization" -- the game, that is -- is available for reading as of today on Gamasutra. The ten-page write-up by Benj Edwards is part of the effort to provide "detailed official histories of each of the first ten games voted into the Digital Game Canon".

"Civilization is a game I'm very proud of, and I'm very happy to have been a part of it", says Meier in the feature. "I appreciate all the game players who've played it, sent us their great ideas, and have been part of making it a success".
