  • Got Civ?

T.S. This forum is so cluttered with all kinds of Civ IV stuff, so that one could think that this doesn't belong here, despite it actually does.

Finally decided to take a group picture of my Civilization game collection, which is still abit small, as the following ones are still missing:

    - Civ (PC version still needed)
    - Civ II FW
    - Civ II MGE
    - Civ III Conquests (American distribution)
    - CtP (reason: manual missing from my current one)

But in the picture I have...

    - Civilization (Amiga version)
    - CivNet
    - Civilization II (PC version)
    - Civilization II (PS version)
    - Civilization II Conflicts in Civilization
    - Civilization II Ultimate Classic Collection (actually I have two copies, but only one is shown)
    - Civilization II Test of Time
    - Civilization III (American distribution)
    - Civilization III (European distribution)
    - Civilization III Play the World (American distribution)
    - Civilization III Play the World (European distribution)
    - Civilization III Conquests (European distribution)
    - Civilization III Game of the Year Edition
    - Civilization III Limited Edition
    - Civilization III Gold Edition
    - Civilization: Call to Power
    - Call to Power II

All are full retail versions and are authentic copies which I have either bought as new or second hand. Of course I also have all of them (except for all the double versions of Civ III) installed, too. Hopefully I'll have a chance to complete my little collection in the nearby future, if I finally get to buy FW and MGE. In the meantime I have been planning for a while to play through nonstop all major Civ releases, just to get an impression which one I actually like most. However that would require cutting off contacts to the outside world for at least a week, which wouldn't be that nice. But maybe one day I get to thoroughly play them all through.

Anyone else with a Civ game home collection to show us?

Yes, there are SNES and PS versions, too. However no Sega Genesis, AFAIK.

I bow down before your mighty collection...

I only have 8 of those.

Your collection misses the best civgame of them all.

Very nice collection. How much for it?

Actually, I don't have money to spend, but I kind of collect Civ games too, so eventually I would like to build an even bigger collection, including such derivatives as MoO, Colonization, etc.

I can't believe you have all versions of Civ III though. Impatient? I'm still waiting for Civ III MGE to make my purchase

                Maniac,

SMAC? It's not Civ. But yes, I do have SMAC Planetary Pack too. Just didn't include it in the picture.

                Vet,

actually I was thinking of including SMAC and MoO in my collection too. Would have had a great opportunity to buy the original MoO in its retail box, but then I decided not yet to include MoO in the collection. The greatest pity so far is that I missed the chance to buy a copy of Civ, which would have had Sid's signature on the box. It looked very cool. As for Civ III, I have all of them, as the collection wouldn't be complete without those, IMO.

Civ 2 was also released in Japan for the Sega Saturn (which i have), under the name just Civilization, but it was Civ2, but looks unlike any other civ remake. Theres a full tech tree in the tiny manual they managed to squeeze in with all the Japanese writing too.

                    Wow, you keep the boxes.?!

I threw away most of my old games about a year ago, including civ2, CTP etc.

                          Goodness, so many Civilization games.

I really want Call to Power II but no place here sells it.

It's amazing how many different Civs there are. I doubt there's another game out there that can match Civ like this.

Of course I do. No game would be complete without its box. At least not if for collecting purpose.

because as you may know, Civ is such a great TBS game series, which makes it worthy to be collected.
