Colonization - Upgrading Artillery?

Dug this out of storage yesterday, it still rocks.

Was there a way to get cannons back up to full strength?

Also, are there conditions to getting mercenaries from the Old World? ISTR it was basically a matter of high treasury....

Hi Michael,

quit easy:

Artillery: No, you can't repair them, one they are damaged that's it.

Mercenaries: IIRC you need to have at least 5000 Gold and again IIRC at least two nations need to be at war.

Another thing to watch out for is if your own king offers you Mercs and you accept it, be prepared for a hefty tax hike in the near future
