  • colonization game for Windows XP

I played this game about 10 years ago in high school and was curious if there was a version that would work with windows XP or one that some one had hacked to make it work with XP. I do not mind paying for it if I have to. If anyone has it with it already made or alter for Windows XP I would be highly interested. Post here if you have any ideas

I have played Colonization for Windows without problems on XP. I found it on some abandonware site. There was a small extra program that you had to download to make it work - I think it was called WinG, but I'm not sure.

Im not sure what Baruk Khazad is , but if they speak Judeo-Dwarvish, that would be "blessed are the dwarves" - lord of the mark

WDM sound emoultes DOS sound in Windows NT/"k/CP, and should be used for the DOS verion of Colonization or Civilization (or any other old game)

WinG is a graphics library for Windows 3.1 used by Civilization for windows, civnet, Colonization for Windows and Civilization II So if you have the window version you will need WinG and VDMsound will do no good.

            Thanks, Gramphos.

Now I understand why I had to use WinG
