  • Mac Mice

Well, my Apple Pro Mouse gave up the ghost this week.

Still I thought I'd go get a new one, but they're 70 bucks!!!

I ended up getting a Microsoft Optical Intellimouse on sale for 40. I know I bash MS but they make quite good mice (the MS mouse from my old 386 is still going strong). I don't find I use the other buttons much, but the scroll wheel is handy.

Anyone else replaced their one button mouse? I know Monolith94 has.

Yea, when I received my eMac I went out and got an inexpensive two-button Logitech w/ wheel for $25. I love it!

I have, but I don't remember what brand my mouse is. It doesn't say on the mouse and the packaging is in a landfill somewhere in America. Sorry.

My Intellimouse Optical is quite good. The software that comes with it is OK but it doesn't allow you to assign combinations of buttons. It's also a bit flimsy compared to the AP mouse.

I can see how having 5 buttons could lead to RSI; I have a sore hand this morning from using it, which is something I never had from my AP mouse.

It's also taking me time to get used to not having one hand on the keyboard.

Using the same M$ mouse... I consider it blasphemous to do so, but I'm living with it.

(I've made sure that the word Microsoft no longer appears on there.)

Most definately replaced that one button mouse as soon as i could. I'm sorry, it looks nice, but its a bit of an outdated design. STill can't believe the new wireless mice are one button(and no scroll whell). anyway, replaced mine with a wireless logitech mouse, just before they dropped the price on the MX700.

Isn't that always the way with price drops?

I remember when I got my PS2 it wasn't but another couple of months and the price dropped...

I use some super-cheapy Intellimouse optical. Got it on amazon for around $18 a while ago. The Apple one is nice but very expensive. You'd think they'd give you a break on the mice at least
