Newbie to CivRev needs help choosing best civilizations to play

I just got an Apple iPad and put CivRev on it the day I got it. It seems each civilization is unique and has it's own pros and cons.

I have played Civ1and Civ 3. I think CivRev is going to be lots of fun to play. But I am unsure which are the best civs to choose.

I would appreciate your thoughts and advice on the best civs for me to start with.

I have been reading all over the internet and most people say China is the best Civ to play. Then the Aztecs or Zulus. Would you agree with that?

I like the greeks for the free courthouse and starting with democracy. Depends on how you play the game though. They're not good if you're into warfare.

One observation tells that the chine is the best one but on the other hand another observation told me that the Korea is also boosting up.
