The Xbox demo is a 1.3 gig download that allows you to play both single and multiplayer games as Caesar or Cleopatra. The demo ends at 1250 AD.
I know people have seen the graphics and read the gameplay specs, so I'll try to describe how the game actually plays.
The game is very easy to pick up even without the tutorial, the control system is extremely easy to use and logically set out. I soon found myself whizzing around giving orders and managing cities. The screen is neat and uncluttered and everything in your empire is only a couple of button presses away. The maps although small seem large enough to give a ~2 hour game and don't feel constricting.
TBH I'm pretty impressed with the few games I played so far, the game def. has that "one more turn" appeal that the Civ series is known for.
