DESPERATE HELP - Creating maps

As stupid as it sounds, I have tried everything I can, but still cannot create my own map under the load scenario, nor can I seem to delete a previously saved game/overwrite an old one. How do I do these simple things????!!!!!!?????!!!!!

Exactly what happens when you try to make the map?

To overwrite a file, you´ll have to give the new file the same filename...

You can't create a map in the game. You have to use the editor for that.

Deleting saves is as deleting any other file in Windows, but you can't do it in-game. You have to open the Saves directory where you installed Civ3 and delete it from there.
