Has anyone ever thought of doing anything cool to border lines?

I recently saw solid borders in Trip's Napoleonic scenario, so i quickly made one for myself, see the attachment.

but, can anyone think of a COOLER idea than this simple modification?

i had immediately thought of some sort of wall effect, with colored flags draped on it to show nationality, but then i remember borders expand over ocean too.

anyone?

Solid Borders Thread

I liked it when I saw it. There is another one in that thread, by lloydy (it's near the bottom. called amended borders), that has small indentations:

I liked the solid borders but wanted the ability to see when I was exploring new terrain whether I was INSIDE or OUTSIDE 'enemy' territory.

So I added little squares on the inside of the borders to indicate this. Hope it works for you all.
