Running CIVIII in Limited Accounts in XP

Hi,

I have just installed CIVIII on Windows XP Home edition. It loads and runs on an account with administrator priveleges but fails to work on a limited user account.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can run the game on a limited user account?

I'm not sure what the default file rights are for limited accounts (I've changed my setup a lot (and my installation works with limited accounts))

I don't know exactly what Civ3 needs but you do at least have to have Read Rights for all files. And I think that you will need write rights (but not change rights) on the root folder of Civ3 and the PTW folder if present

I recommend using the "Run as" function which makes it possible to run individual programs using some other account (like an admin account).

I think it's better to cacls the civ3directory and files so that it starts working.
