Game ends - "movie" won't play

I have played the game twice and finished 4 times. I am unable to get the "movie" that plays at the end showing the world map and histograph changing through the years.

Any workarounds?

Not if you dont have an original copy. That's what happens with a cracked Civ3...guess that that's what you have.

lorifromsf: Are you using Civ III or CIII/PtW?

Any one else: Wasn't that a problem w/ PtW when it first came out? Famous Replay Bug or something? Was fixed in a patch later, I think.

I have an original copy.

I have just Civ III not PtW.

I got a long message from Infogrames about things I could do, and none of them helped (things like changing my resolution settings and making sure I have current drivers).

I have resigned myself to not seeing the time lapse, although it does look like a neat feature.

It takes a long, long time to load up, quite possibly you were just impatient. I've read of people waiting half an hour or so before it started playing.

Thanks! It took about 5 minutes to load, then I got to see my glorious victory in full color!
