Deleting Saved Games

Greetings Folks:

Just picked up Civ III a few days ago and slowly fumbling my way thru it (it takes us old farts longer than you younguns). Have ran into one problem that is simply driving me nuts. Can anyone tell me how to delete saved games????

I'll assume this is not a joke and that you use Windows. Just start Windows Explorer and go to the directory where you installed Civ3 and you'll find a Save directory in there. Your saved games are stored in files with the ".sav" extension.

Unforturnately, there are no "delete" button inside the game, so I'm afraid you'll have to do what our vampire friend suggested above. Damn lazy designers.

This "feature" remains unchanged since Civ I, IIRC. But you can press Windows Key + E in the middle of a game to do file management, so it's not that inconvenient.

Still, it would have been nice....

indeed it would be nice to put that in a patch , ....

some people want to save on disk space and this should be a regular option , ....
