  • F3 Screen waaaay to slow

Has anyone else noticed this, or had this problem:

When I check the Military Advisor screen (F3) it takes a long time to refresh.

If I want to scroll down my list of units I have to click and wait (what seems like minutes) before the screen will drop down one line--Heaven forbid if I want to view my UUs or Armies at the very bottom.

This only seems to have happened after I updated to PTW. Patches don't make any difference, also it doesn't matter if I'm playing a networked game or solo.

It seems to mostly start the "F3 Lag", as I've come to call it, during the later ages. Perhaps just because of the sheer number of units???

    Has anyone else noticed this?

Never had a problem. I recomend you contact Infrogrames tech support. I believe there use to be a problem with slow scroll rates across the screens maybe a thread dealing with that can help you.

I do not have the problem either. How many units do you have?

Try posting the same thing in the PTW forum. They've been disussing it over there a while ago.

        Check out this thread too:

It's a known bug, should be fixed when the next patch arrives...

Nym, I have anywhere from 100 to 200 MA and MI (each) and about the same number of Arty/RA and then some various units awaiting GL or upgrade.

I generally have lots of units!

Is it a PTW bug? I am still playing with 1.29f and I've not been faced with this problem. Nevertheless I played once with more than 500 MA and MI, about 100 artillery and other units.

Apparently so. I didn't have this problem before loading PTW and the patches. BTW: none of the patches seem to help. Perhaps the next one, or the next......

The F3 Lag gets even worse if you have a spy and can see the enemy units. Because of this, I've almost stopped creating spies because it takes so long to see all the units.

After some wars it is OK; they have less units.
