oil

It's 25 turns I have discovered refining and have full visibility of map. Nor me nor other AIs have oil. can it be a bug?.

If you're playing on a warm wet world, then it is very likely that there are no deserts or tundra, the only terrain which can contain oil. Luckily there is a solution.

Make lots of pollution so that global warming happens. Sometimes plains turn to desert. Sometimes deserts contain oil. Sometimes.

Or use Marines as your main attackers, carried in Galleons...

can you give more details about the map you are on , ....

sometimes it helps to wait for it , it could just pop-up somewhere

Having oil appear only in deserts or tundra is patently unrealistic. Oil should also be found in hilly terrain, and I tend to throw in plains for good measure (the TEXAS factor).

good point , the same goes for oil in the sea , ....

and whatabout gas as a natural rescource , .....

but we should be able to edit this , for example ; a gas or oil tile should not produce any food , ....
