Why wont it work

Hey

I had uninstalled Civ 3 and when I tried to install it again a menu came up saying 'Would u like to remove all of the components?' and if I click 'yes' then it goes from 1 to 100 automatically. Then if i put the disk back in it says the exact same thing.

I had the same problem...I email the support team...heres what they told me...

Mike,

First of all, make sure that your system folder options are setup to
"Show
All Files", since the folder you're going to be looking for is hidden.
After that, browse to the following directory:

C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information

In this directory there may be several folders, depending on how many
programs are currently installed on the system that use Installshield
as the
installer. The folder names will be in brackets and will consist of a
long
list of characters. For example:

{978A2104-8363-11D4-AA23-0000E889C4DA}

Go into each folder, and open SETUP.INI. You'll find a line that looks
like
this:

AppName=X

Look for the one where X is Civilization. After that, delete the
folder
that contains that file, and then run the setup one more time.
