How many civs on a Large (140x140) map?

I am trying to determine the best numberof resources to place on my new 140x140 earth map and would like to balance resource appearance numbers with the number of civs that would generally be played on such a map.

How many civs do you normally play against on a Large map?

I'm very interested by a large map of the world with 24 civs in their accurate locations !

This map will are without your mod ? Play alone ?
