You can add new ages

It is possible in a way to add a new age by moving all the techs from the modern era and combinig them with the techs in the industrial age. Has anyone done this and if so how well has it worked? As the DYP mod shows you can fit a lot more tech on the screen. I was thinking about doing this and then leaving the modern era blank for modders but was wondering if anyone else has done it already.

Techincally, that's not adding eras. And you would need to make the tech boxes smaller. Comfortably, you can fit 44 techs on one screen.
