Can someone make a new Mech Infantry?

I never really liked the mech infantry in Civ3. It is too much like a tank. I liked the one in Civ2 that looked more like a Humvee. Can anyone make one that lookes just as good as the other Civ3 units. I know this is pretty hard but I have also seen some very good units made by people.

I never saw a humvee. There is the radar artillery that looks sort of similar, but thats not really a humvee. I wanted something that looks like the mech infantry in civ2.
