Do walls give units in towns ZOC?
Does this effect carry over to when a town becomes a city?(Or do cities naturally have ZOC?)
Does the Great Wall increase the chance that a unit in a city will be more successful at getting a free attack?
When my unit invokes its ZOC is it its defense against the opposing unit's attack or my attack against his defense?

AFAIK, walls do not give ZOCs only fortresses do. I never heard of the Great Wall giving more chances to suceed in a free attack. I don't think it's the case, otherwise it would be written in the civilopedia.
And I think it's your ZOCcing unit's attack against the trespassing unit's defence.

I tested it out, walls do give units ZOC. I'm not sure about cities or Metros though.

Are you sure? The unit might have had ZOC from the beginning?
