  • I need to edit my map. PLEASE HELP!!!

I need to edit my map. I'm playing a game about a week now, really
happy about how things are evolving and i find myself with no
coal, oil or uranium around or being able to trade with. So I need to
edit my map and plant a few resources here and there. Does anybody
know how to do this? I downloaded an editor called Civ3Multitool but
when i export the map from the save and then import it back again
the game loads and plays normally until i try to end the turn at
which point it crashes. Even if i only export and then immediately
import the map back to the save without afflicting any changes to
it, the same problem occurs. PLEASE HELP!!!

(I'm running under XP and the latest Civ3 patch)

This is a game challange. Conquer AI cities with these resources - be more aggressive. If you really are 'happy' with the game you should be in a position to do so.

Remember - in resource conquest you need only take a few cities (including the resource one) and ask for peace (and a few goodies).
"Show me a man or a woman alone and I'll show you a saint. Give me two and they'll fall in love. Give me three and they'll invent the charming thing we call 'society'. Give me four and they'll build a pyramid. Give me five and they'll make one an outcast. Give me six and they'll reinvent prejudice. Give me seven and in seven years they'll reinvent warfare. Man may have been made in the image of God, but human society was made in the image of His opposite number, and is always trying to get back home." - Glen Bateman, The Stand (Stephen King)

Please send me those crashing saves, the unedited and the edited saves. I don't have mush time to test things any more, but I'm trying to truck down this bug which has been bugging me for a while.

The best thing maybe to do is change the resources in the editor first, then start the game. I changed all that to make them all more accessable, and to run out slower. I did that, when there was seemingly no coal on the map, and it was 1800 in one game. No coal at all, or so as far as I could see on the entire map.
So, I decided that that was enough. Deleted the game, and started over, after editing the strategic resources in the editor first.
I think, perhaps, I rather play somewhat like Civ II.
