  • How activate me262, fw190, zeros for PTW?

Since General and PTW forums didn't have the answer, turning to the experts.

In the extras folder for PTW there are some neat units:
    me262
    fw190
    zero
    tiger II
    etc

What is the exact recipe for enabling these units in PTW? My guess is there is about a 8 step process but I can't find the directions.

    Thank you.

      WarpStorm,

Ah it is a 10 step process instead of an 8 step process. I thought it was complicated.

Followup question-- are additional units only available in scenarios and not in regular games?

      Thanks

I agree, it's way more complicated than it could have been. I'd like to see most of the stuff in pediaicons.txt automatically generated.

Yes, the new units (except for the Medieval Infantry and Guerilla and new UUs) can only be used in scenarios. There is nothing stopping someone from making a scenario that is basically like the standard game, but with these units in the build list. There is really no difference between a scenario and the regular game except the name of the .bix file used at startup.

If that's true, then copying the new .bix file to the standard .bix file will make it active for game. I will give it a try as I wanted to make the year counter move at 10 years/turn.

Not really, once a game has started it's traits are saved in the save file. I usually just play scenarios for rules variations.
