  • How do you link to other threads?

I'd appreciate your help in this.

    Fairly simple

You will want two browser windows open (you can open a second window by hitting CONTROL-N).

One for the reply box you want to put the address into an one for the page you want the address from.

While on the page you want to post as a link Right click on the address bar which will give you a menu

    Cut
    Copy
    Paste
    Delete

    Choose Copy.

Then you can past the address into the reply box, either with CONTROL-V or by right clicking with your mouse and choosing paste.

Apolyton's reply program will automaticly mark it as a link.

Or you could click on the http button and paste the link into the box.

This was done by CONTROL-V directly into the reply box

    This is with the button

    This is with the button

Of course you could do it the hard way by typing in the codes. You can see the codes when you choose reply with quote.

The link is for this thread so if click it your aren't going anywhere. Oh to heck with it. Here is the link by way of the http button for:

    BBC Science/Nature

    and a direct paste

Get all the latest news, live updates and content about Science & Environment from across the BBC.

good thing hit the preview button. Aployton automaticly turned the http button into a link because I had the colon and the slashes. Now it doesn't.

If you do anything fancy its a good idea to hit the preview button to be sure everything worked out.

Oh, I never use the preview button. Maybe I should start using it, considering how frequently I have to use the "Edit" command to fix some posts.

The preview button is available only in the Post a Reply page, isn't it?
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.
