  • Copying landmass

Sorry if this have been asked before; tried an unsuccessful search.

I have a computergenerated map I find quite good but I want to use the same landmass on a bigger map and maybe modify it to a scenario-map. Does anyone know if it's possible to copy the landmass of a map and paste it in to another? Or maybe it exists some kind of tool for it?

    Yours Wolf

Just realized I can use the World Seed as an "emergency-solution", but it'll still be nice if anyone know something about this...

you can always use the bmp2bic program (made by LookANinja, get it here and a graphic editor (like paintshop, photoshop, etc)

Simply load your BIC into the bic2bmp software and it will then have a preview gif.

last I checked you cant export it to a bmp file, but thats okay. Simply take a screenshot and work with that as your bmp.

You can then crop out the junk and you'll be left with only the image of what your map looks like.

You can then stretch the image - however only to the specific sizes bmp2bic supports - mess with landmasses, define stuff by pixels, etc. It's very cool.

In photoshop I made a special color palette so when I use it, I only work with the colors supported by the map program.

      Hope this helps
