    What do the numbers next to one's government type mean?

    (For instance, it might say "Democracy (2.5.3)" or something.)

    I have never really noticed by they look they might have something to do with the current selected unit. Such as A/D/M

      It is for labor allocation – Laborers, Scientists, Taxpersons, based on your entire civ.

          No, it's not.

          It's the percentage of your total income that goes to:

          Wealth,Science, and luxuries. In that order.

          so, 2.5.3=

          20% wealth
          50% science
          30% luxuries
          Don't try to confuse the issue with half-truths and gorilla dust!
