  • Attacking rugged terrain

Is there a way to give foot soldiers a bonus in rugged terrain, or wheeled units a penalty.

It would be nice if infantry where better at assaulting and defending cities, forests and mountains then tanks are...

    I don't think that it's possible.

It is simulated in a way since infantry units move equally fast through any terrain, while fast units are only faster in open terrain.

The best you will be able to do is to give them the "all terrain as roads" attribute, but unless you adjust the movement rates of the mechanized units to reflect the additional rate of movement you have given the foot units in the clear, the results will be lopsided.

Hmmm... Not what I'm looking for.

Damnit, even SMAC had a bonus for foot units against bases and souch. It feels so wrong to assault a city with armor.
