Maximum # Resorces

What is the maximum numbers of Resorces that can be used in the editor/game? The question have probalby been asked before.

Supposedly none, however you will notice that the more strategic/luxury resources you have, the less bonus you'll have on the map. There seems to be a total limit for each terrain type. No one to my knowledge has figured out exactly how it works. Maybe it's a percentage thing; only a certain number of squares can have a resource on it.

Even when manually set on the world?

That I'm not sure of. I'm not really into creating maps; I prefer random maps. However, judging from some of the screenshots I've seen, you can have as many as you want.
