Here it is, the least anticipated platform and genre cross-over:
I have made a map to be played like the artificial Halo in the X-Box first-person shooter HALO.
It is a narrow map (20 x 150) with 8 civilizations. You can have about 8 cities (I think that' about right: half of the normal standard setting) and the tech rate is set at 120 (also half of the standard setting).
I've also made a bit of an attempt to recreate some of the terrain from the original game. There is a mostly snow area, another with a lot of jungle, plus lots of grassland and trees everywhere else.
Anyway, I hope the map is pretty fun to play, should be pretty interesting to have only two fairly small fronts to fight on, and just be moving in one of two directions. I must apologise however to those who like their ships, unless you are on one of the two fairly big seas, you aren't going to be doing much other than sailing a few transports. I'd have liked to make a bigger map, but that wasn't possible. Random maps always leave a gap at the top of the map, and I didn't like that. Also, the northern/southern and equitorial division of terrain didn't work well. Thus I had to make the whole thing by hand.
Please make any comments that you'd like.
