jet fighter interception - game hangs -

hi civ-community,
after having 200h playing that game on my laptop (Toshiba SatellitePro 4600, PIII, 256MB, Win2k, Civ3 1.29f) i have problems with my new jet fighters.

whenever they intercept those ugly persian stealth-bombers the "please wait..." never ends.

after several autosave re-loads it seems that the interception is sometimes ok...sometimes(!)...but often the game does not continue again and again when it comes to that interception.

is there a known solution??

i wouldn´t really like to play without jet fighters and after 2100 years of surviving i wouldn´t like to see my empire dying because of a software bug

Have you upgraded you version of Civ III yet? You should do so if you are still playing the original version.

yes, i´m running 1.29f

here is the savegame. maybe someone could just look if he can continue.

there are 3 jet fighters in kiew. the persians attack continuously.

it could last one or two turns until the error occurs because as you all know, jet fighters don´t allways intercept stealth units.
