  • Limit on number of armies?

    I am playing a game where I have 19 armies (2 with 4 cavalry, 17 with 4 armour).

Now I just have a new leader who refuses to change into a new army. I can only hurry the city production.

When I disband one of the cavalry-armies, the leader can once again become an army.

So the question is there a limit on the number of armies?

Or has it something to do with the fact that I am in 1954 and cannot research any new technology?

You can only have a army/4 cities
( let me make myself clear )
4 cities can support 1 army.
so so you would need 80 cities to support 20 army's,etc...
( This is editable in the (duh) editor , note that these changes will not affect you current game.

You create a settlers and put down some more cities , or,
Use them and go claim so foreign land
