  • Unit Icon modifications..

    Hi everybody!

I was wondering if someone could go through the process for me of how to alter or replace the icon image for the different units. For example I want to replace the settler with a completely different icon from someplace else, or maybeI just want to add horns to the pre-existing settler.
    (that's question 1 and 2)

my third question has to do with importing icon images from Civ II. Is this possible? will it work? I have some old icons from CivII that I would like to use for a CivIII scenario I am working on. This would save time and energy.

    Thanks for the help guys,

To replace a unit with diferent graphics put the new graphics (Civ3 unit FLC format) in the unit folder and change the INI to point to the new files.

To edit a unit get FLICster (in the Files forum) and a program that can edit PCX files.
You may want to read "how to make a convencing unit animation" (sticky in the Creation forum).

To inport a Civ2 in FLICster export a unit with one frame in each direction and paste the unit in.
Was gone for two years, I'm back now.
