  • Latin or English?

I'm working on (the framework) for a Rome scenario for PtW. Should I put the city names in English or Latin on the map? Same goes for the units, Latin or English?

Latin is of course more historically accurate, and adds a more Roman feeling to the scenario. On the other hand, most players speak English and don't know Latin, so they may not understand certain things.

So should I make my scenario in completely in English, or in Latin (as much as possible at least, I don't have a degree in the language and won't be able to translate all the words)?

Latin for the Roman cities. Latin for the Roman UU, but English for units shared by other civs.

yep, and it's coming along nicely.

I'm pondering to make two versions of the scenario, a Latin and an English version.

Is there perhaps anyone on these forums who knows some Latin? I know some, but it has been a long time ago since I learned it (and I wasn't that good at it either).

Latin, and if you want, you have my blessings to use the translations in my Latin Mod.

                        Thanks!

I just downloaded it, great work. I already managed to translate most of the words, but it did help me to fill in the gaps.

And thanks to the other people participating in this thread and poll. Much appreciated.

                          Non quæstio.

I will say, although I'm pretty I got the endings correct in my mod, I have to admitt that they may not all be right, and I suggest you hunt down a latin professor to double check.
