It does just what it says: adds 1 HP for the unit. So a Pikeman with +1 HP will have 3 at Conscript, 4 at Regular, 5 at Veteran and 6 at Elite (as opposed to 2, 3, 4 and 5 respectively without that bonus).Up the Irons!
