  • Genghis Khan Animated Leaderhead

Here's a preview of frames 1, 61, and 121 of my Genghis Khan Leaderset. This is the Ancient Times flc.

Any comments/suggestions on backgrounds/clothing for the next 3 ages?

I've noticed that your leaderheads tend to no (or very little clothes) in the Ancient Era, even though the Firaxis ones do. Perhaps Ghengis could do with some armour?

I think holding hands can be more erotic than 'slamming it in the ass' - Pekka, thinking that he's messed up

                1) During the Stone Age there really wasn't that much armor. The first armor most people think of was worn by the Spartans and Athenians and that was 600-400 BC, so take it back another 3400 years. Even in the art of this time people were mostly represented as naked both in combat and in sporting competitions.

                2) Its a heck of a lot easier not to make specific armor for this period. I have lots of medieval stuff but not so much Ancient armor, can't use chainmail, and Amazons and Genghis don't really fit the toga catagory.

HeHeHe. I wanted Genghis to look TOUGH. Somebody you DID NOT want to meet on the battlefield, as opposed to the ugly wino look Firaxis went with.

In the .gif, he looks VERY weird. His biceps seem to be pulsating, and although he looks pretty tough, it just isn't realistic. I mean - not all leaders looked good and were extremely fit. Take this into consideration. Here is a picture of a painting I found on the internet, supposedly of Genghis Khan.

The Ancient Age in CivIII isn't just the stone age! You're looking at Iron Age, Bronze Age, etc. CivIII's Middle Age begins with Pikemen and they were't around as a fighting formation until well into the Medievil period. So CivIII's Ancient Age actually spans 5000 years! All that time with no clothes on...

eh, just give 'em a hat or two, personally I think Genghis is the type of guy to walk around topless. Not to mention I like the eye candy.

I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that Genghis spent most of his life in a saddle conquering the world. The guy in the picture would probably kill the horse.

Kubai Khan (GK's grandson) would probably fit the picture better as he ruled from court in China, best of my knowledge.
