Help! I always had problems with the sound working properly in Civ 3, but after the 1.29F patch I have zero sound. I have a built in card on my Asus PT4E (Avance 97). I've tried the obvious fixes, but no sucess.
Any ideas?

When you say you've done the obvious fixes you mean you've reinstalled you're SC drivers and used DXdiag to see if its related to DX8.1 ?We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

I never considered DirectX. I will download DirectX 8.1 to update and give that a go
