  • UTILITY: Hacked Civ 3 1.29f editor

    Enabled:

    Adding/removing eras
    Adding/removing experience levels
    Adding/removing difficulty levels
    Adding/removing spy missions
    Adding/removing terrain types
    Adding/removing world sizes
    Adding/removing worker jobs

I think that's it, but might very soon come with another update for it. Seems to be worth something, though, but I don't know how it works... hmm.

Trying to deal with two things currently, I probably need to consult Gramphos .

        Here's a screen, though .

How would you add/remove the worker jobs?
What would they point to when you gave them a new job and what graphic would it use?

I just re-installed Civ 3 after playing with this .

And still got a few problems . World Sizes are easier to deal with, though, but I need Gramphos, probably.

Doesn't 1.29f exit the game if those things are added? I think it sates so in the readme.

Where? It might be an explanation why I got the thing crashing Civ all the time, and why I just reinstalled .

Also Gramphos, what did you use to hack an editor? I used just the exe file resource editor, and it worked fine on 1.21 (or was it 1.17?).

when there is an actual program that works, put it in the civ3-files forum

                    until then....

                        From the read me
                        * Added error handling for scenarios with an incorrect number of difficulty levels, eras, espionage missions, experience levels, worker jobs, terrain types, and world sizes. The player will be given a message and the game will exit.

Thanks Markos, I removed my attachment a minute after posting, since I ran Civ 3 and had it crash .

                          Can't regulars post there?

So, Gramphos, what did you use? Is a standard resource editor enough? Damn annoying, why did Firaxis have to do this?

At least the hidden presense of those buttons seems to suggest they've thought about adding those options

I especially hope the eras option gets added some day Terrain types & experience levels would be nice too though

Some buttons like Add Units were in out of the box Civ 3 . BTW, Mike also seems to have added some other code to distrub hackers .
