Well, I have the english version and I still haven't been able to upgrade my palace but it doesn't bother me much.

Ta-daaaa!
Playing last night, I was a couple of techs into the Modern Era (researching Computers), I got my first upgrade!
It was 1788 and I had already wiped out three AI civs and in 1st place in pop and area, among other categories.
The interesting thing was that I received three upgrades, not just one, as if to make up for lost time, I suppose.
So I suppose there's no bug, but I wish someone (Soren?) would give us some information about the trigger. It's not an earth-shaking issue, but it would be nice to know.Comment
