I was playing the huge earth map the other day (no, I don't have the save file anymore), and I noticed something very strange. I spanned 3 islands, and all of them were connected. Each city had all resources, oil, rubber, you name it. On my main continent, I was upgrading my tanks to modern armor, no problem. On the other islands though, it wouldn't let me upgrade. I checked the city box, resources were there. Checked the build queue, and it was able to build. But I couldn't upgrade them. Does the fact that it was originally anouther civs city have anything to do with that? I did not try moving them to my main continent to try to upgrade, so I don't know if that would be the case or not.

Did the city in question have a barracks? You can only upgrade troops that are located in a city w/ barracks.Janitor, janitor

I don't believe it did. Thanks, I wasn't aware of that fact, by the time I usually upgrade, most of my original cities have barracks, I guess the ones I took over didn't.They don't call me Springfield Fats because I'm morbidly obese!Comment
