  • Q: Domination percentage

While working toward a Domination Victory (due to shutting off the Conquer ability initially is there any way to check on the percentage of land mass within my borders while playing? I realized I needed 66% but didn't know where to look to track it. Once I finally achieved it, it certainly looked more like 75%.

Sorry, I was mistaken. It shows you the number of square miles, maybe you can calculate the percentage from there.

Only if you knew the square miles of land on the map. Which you don't. So Harley, no you can't

I think it's not 66%, I agree, I think it's more in the 70-75% range. The last domination I've won was on a pangea map so it's easy to see how much of the world you own. I already own least 75% of the world but I only won after razing a french city with size 12 POP.

Majority of the population is taken into consideration.

Thanx for all the help! Population was considered. Was down to only two other civs and (graciously) had left them one town apiece. Their total pop. was 9 Still think it's more toward the 75% (or more) mark.

It is supposed to be 66%, but that includes 66% pop and 66% land mass, so you need both numbers. This according to the manual, as well as a chat with the Firaxians. So, 66% of only one won't do it.

Thanx. The pop is the easy part. Just for sport, I'll leave a civ or two with one or two cities. So, my pop is up around the 99+% mark I'll build Settlers and cities just to fill in the empty gaps (usually in the conquered territory) and not have to wait for all the expansion.
