Do the wonder splashes you make for the game have to be 320 X 320 or can they be [# less than 320] X [# less than 320] also?

320 pixels * 320 pixels *256 colors (and the index number 255 will be transparent and since the background will be black always, 255 will always come out black).

You can, however, just fill make the image larger and fill in the new blank area with black or white or plaid or whatever.
