  • LEADERHEAD: Mussolini by ccm01

A while back, a bloke by the name of ccm01 posted up a link to his website that had all these cool leaderheads. However, those leaderheads now seem to have been replaced by baseball stadiums (!). Some people have been asking about these leaders, so I thought I'd post some of them here, from when I d.l them.

I posted the Hitler and Stalin leaderheads in the original thread, which can be found here

Someone asked for Mussolini, well here is part of it (flics to follow). Unrar to your root Infogrames Interactive folder, the file architecture should take care of the rest.

Edit: old file removed after 19 d/ls

New, complete file can be found here
    FM Edit: updated URL

btw I also have Roosevelt, DeGaulle, Hirohito and Chuchill. If there's an interest, I'll post them too.

oh - I also have Ghengis Khan as well, although that'll be somewhat redundant when PTW arrives (sigh, too long a wait)

            Thanks a million.

Now I assume I just replace these file names into the civ I want to use him in?

People may prefer your Genghis to the PTW one; also, there will be a segment (based on posts here and elsewhere) that will not buy PTW; or will wait until it is lot cheaper in price. This people would enjoy your Genghis.

              Keep up the good work.

Not quite sure what you mean. If you mean that you confirm file overwrite, yes you do.

I'm not really sure what I mean either. Who will Mussolini's head replace, or do I have to add Mussolini.flc files to replace Caesar's, or someone else? I didn't get an confirm overwrite request.

Sorry, these questions may be simple, I'm still new to the whole idea of making changes to the existing game, so I appreciate your working with me.

                    Thanks.

You should get a file overwrite, because Musoloni replaces Caesar. In case I haven't got the file architacture right, this is where the Mussolini files should go:

                      CE_all.pcx goes in ...Civilization III\Art\Advisors

                      RomansLARGE.pcx
                      RomansSMALL.pcx both go in
                      ...Civilization III\Art\Civlopedia\Icons\Races

                      Ce_01.pcx
                      Ce_02.pcx
                      Ce_B01.pcx
                      Ce_B02.pcx
                      Ce_C01.pcx
                      Ce_C02.pcx
                      Ce_D01.pcx
Ce_D02.pcx all go in ...Civilization III\Art\Flics

                      CE.pcx
                      CE_ANG.pcx
                      CE_CONQ.pcx
                      CE_CONQ_L.pcx
                      CE_CULT.pcx
                      CE_CULTB.pcx
                      CE_HAP.pcx
                      CE_KIS.pcx
                      CE_SHAP.pcx
CE_SKIS.pcx all go in ...Civilization III\Art\Leaderheads

I am looking at this now, and maybe because I've never used an rar file before...does this open and create all the CE files you mention? How do I open it and extract these files?

If you get the chance and know what I mean, please let me know. Thanks again.

With the first rar file, jusr open it and extract everythign to the Infogrames Interactive folder, all the files should go in the right place. With the flics, extract to Civilization III\Art\Flics. All the CE files are in the rar archive, but they need to be moved from the archive into the above folders.
