how do I add more units to game

I am an old civ'er.

However I am a little confused on how to do custom or more units. In Civ II we could use the editor and create our own units or download others. It was pretty easy to use and understand. Can we even do that with Civ 3?

I have seen people put custom units on this site but I still havent found a place that tells me how to use them. Plus I didnt see that many new units listed? (forum)

Also I have no idea on how to use the built in editor.


Any suggestions?

Yes and no


I did download the editor thing but my game just locks up when I do a test

tried to add the B-1b

no resource requirements, avaliable after alphabet, low cost

I did this so I could very quickly see if my edits worked (test only)

The first time crashed as soon as I selected the b1 from the city list.

So I went back and made sure it was correct in name. but on the second attempt I got a city list that was completly blank and when I clicked on the emply field it crashed the game.

Does the name of the unit match the name of the art folder?

Zulu, It sounds like your problem with the units_32 file.
