I never see that add or delete button in the editor!

You need the hacked editor. I think jimmytrick did it. The multitool may also do it but since I havent deleted a unit with it I cant be sure.

With gramphos Multitool I found no way to delete things. Only adding things, but that worked quite well....

He, he... Who need to delete things? It's on my todo list, but I've never finished everything more important then that...

Use the hacked 1.21 editor then. Just search for it in files or creation maybe here and at civfanatics. Back up or rename your original editor then download it and put it in place of the original. It has add and delete buttons for units and buildings.
