Hi,
Several months ago I started this mod (ok December was the very beginning), and I got a decent ways into it, but I'm just so strapped for time that I can't finish it alone. Here is kind of an overview of what I wanted to do:
1. Radically increase the amount of advances (40+)
2. Add several dozen new buildings, many of which are gov specific
3. Make a new (sort of) victory condition
4. Add several new citizen types
5. Add many more resource types
6. Establish several new government types
7. Create six new civilizations based on 3 of the gov types (2 each)
8. Create a few new unit types for the late game
9. Increase the use of old units by making them have many small cheap upgrades with some of the new techs (the HP property of the recent patch really made this possible)
10. Create new intro and menu screens, and wonder splashes.
11. Other new art where needed
12. Write interested civilopedia entries for the additional material
So far I have gone through and done the following:
Into the bic I added the following:
--40+ advances, with everything but their cost and final exact coordinates (rough coords are there though)
--several dozen buildings, including what they do and their cost, etc.
Into the txt files I have added the following:
--wonder splashes in the correct order (which point to new art)
--several civ entries for new advances
For art I have done the following:
--new wonder splashes for the all new wonders, great and small
--new intro and menu screens
Ok, here is what I need help on:
1. Writing civilopedia entries (the background story parts)
2. Fitting small unit upgrades into the new tech tree
3. Fitting Citizens to techs
4. Creating new art for civilopedia art instead of recycling old
5. Collecting acceptable new resource art
6. Creating a new advisor screen background theme.
7. Creating new portraits for the new leaders
8. Creating new building art, or sorting through existing art as appropriate
If you are interested, drop me a line at mizaq@u.washington.edu and put "Triad Devlopment" in the subject line so I can know beforehand what your message will be about. I request that because I have gotten some cryptic messages in my email about numerous things I've posted on ACS and CivFan forums. If I can get enough modders (or a few dedicated modders) to help develop this mod further, we can pump out a huge mod before the expansion.
