Changing the Starting Era

Quick Question: is it possible to change the era to start in for a new game? If so; how? I have tried everything in the editor, and have searched these forums to death and still cannot find a definitive answer. I just want to be able to start in the Middle Ages, say, as opposed to starting in Ancient times.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The World War 2 mod starts you off in the Industrial Age (sort of). You'd need to create you're own scenario (blank map, new rules). Simply delete all the ancient units and techs, rename the 4 eras to what you want (say. Medievil, Middle Ages, Rennaisance. etc) and change all the prereqs. so that nothing refers to the Ancient Age.
