  • UNIT: King tiger, ready for action

Here it is! the tiger II ready for your entertaiment.
The unit is BIG to refelect its extreme power.
(the t34 russian tank weighed around 30,000kg, the Tiger II was more than 70,000kg). The unit does not have civ colours, but does feature a german army cross and sould be a unique unit for the germans.
This is Version 2.00, with an exploding death and improved positioning. (version 1.00 had a bug wher it was impossible to see the active unit curor in any of the east views).

Create a file in your CivIII/art/units folder called Tiger2, place all the files from the downloads in to this folder and then add aunit to your scenario called tiger2. (check the other forums for how to add a unit, if you have the second patch it is easy, just select a unit in the edit rule section, press TAB until you come to the rename tag and then press alt A to add. with the original patch or the newest patch you will have to download a hacked editor).

Here is part two of the unit. you must down load at least these two parts. The unit will work without the sounds, but you should at least have all the animation.

            oops, wrong vehicle

Nice camo/snow on the afterdeck on a Pzkfd V Panther tank. Unfortunately, a King Tiger looks like this:

the King Tiger's is a faceted oval, the Panther's besides being smaller, is a hexagon. The hull shapes are identical because the Panther's hull was an excellent design and is was much easier to just upscale 25% that design a completely new hull from scratch.

Yeah, the turret should be a little larger and probably moved forward a bit, and the polygon edges smoothed out a bit. But then again, if I was able to do such things, I would have by now.
