Changing Marla's world map

I want to use Marla's world map in a scenerio. So I edit a few things, save it and try using CPT to get the civ's in the right spots, but when I try to use cpt I get an error messege. What to do? The map is the best out there-do I have to do my own map to start a scenerio?
