  • Aaargh, help !

I'm actually working on a mod with complete different tech tree, and some units and buildings added.
I modified most of the things without trouble, but now I'm facing two very annoying bugs.

First, the large icons for technologies in the civilopedia are not the good ones ! The small ones are adequate, but the large ones seems to be chosen randomly (icon of nuclear power for monarchy, for example).
Second, I don't know why, but while most of the civilopedia entries work fine, some of them (breeding and military organization are the two I found so far) make the game crash.
    Again, I don't know why, I don't know how.

Oh god, I want to get a bug-free editor like the one Civ2 had !!!

Here is the attachment of the files I modified (I could not add the units' directories, it was several dozens of Mo large).

Some of your problems are probably related to the limitations with tech icons. We're still limited to 83. Unlike the resources and units_32 that were fixed with 1.21 to allow more of each, the number of tech icons are still hard-coded. When you add a tech (and maybe if you change the tech order) the icons get out of sync (I assume you're aware that you must change the icons when you add techs or the game will crash when you discover the tech).

I havent had any problems myself with the civilopedia myself but then I dont access it either. Unfortunately some of the info that could be of use is spread throughout the threads. If you havent read it go to plutarcks thread on how to add units etc there may be a clue there.

Aaaah, thanks, it was effectively the tech icons that were broking all. I did not realized that FOR EACH tech you had, you have to reduce the max icon number by one. Completely silly, but well, it works now
